This guide is our personal selection so that you too can experience the neighborhood like a true local.

Poblenou Guide: Design, Beach, and Local Life

Poblenou is the creative soul of Barcelona, where the industrial past meets the innovation of the 22@ district.

    Essential Culture and Museums

    • Museu Can Framis: This is the Fundació Vila Casas center dedicated to contemporary Catalan painting, located in the 22@ technological district of Poblenou. It is situated in a former 18th-century textile factory, renovated by the BAAS Arquitectes studio in a project that integrates two historic warehouses with a new rough concrete building.

    • Disseny Hub Barcelona: The city’s reference center for design, fashion, and visual arts, located in Plaça de las Glòries. The building, designed by the MBM Arquitectes team and popularly known as "the stapler," stands out for its avant-garde architecture and its two sections: one underground and another that cantilevered over the square.
